Technical information about this website’s accessibility

Shannon Flood Risk State Agency Co-ordination Working Group is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.

Compliance status

The website has been tested against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) [2.1 or 2.2] AA standard.

This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard , due to the non-compliances listed below.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • Some images do not have a text alternative, so people using a screen reader cannot access the information.
  • Our ‘Flood Relief Schemes’ page uses an interactive google map. This may be difficult for motor impaired users to navigate.
  • This website uses YouTube to host videos. You Tube videos are embedded in this website using iframes. Some of the components of these iframes have the following know accessibility issues:
  1. components do not have sufficient colour contrast,
  2. the related videos inner slider is missing name
  3. some content on hover is disappearing
  4. hidden content is readable with a screen reader and on logo hover the content is not dismissable
  5. Since these are third-party elements originating from YouTube, we currently have no ability to rectify these issues with the iframes code used to embed videos. Our staff continue to seek a solution for these issues.
  • Some PDFs do not display a relevant title in the title bar.
  • Some PDF structures do not follow a logical reading order
